100% correct medical information on tumblr for once; also consider calling 911 if you don’t know how often the person has seizures and ESPECIALLY if the seizure has lasted 5 minutes or more (which is why the watch is critical)

I have epilepsy so making sure the word is out on how to help people who do have seizures means a lot to me.

Please share and keep tabs, friends! I once had to intervene in a college cafeteria and was terrified that I kept getting some really bad info from well-meaning people around me. They just didn’t know, but had heard a lot of stuff. Information helps keep people safe! 🙌

(Also! Not everyone that suffers from seizures has epilepsy — the mouth thing is super important in some of those cases. And kindness definitely goes a long way.)

I was a lifeguard for almost 3 years and a guest at the hotel had a seizure one day and it was terrifying cause we weren’t ever trained on what to do. Lucky for us our manager knew what to do and got all the towels and put them under her head and we waited till she was done and she had no idea what was going on when she was back. It was so scary but glad we had people who knew what to do.
