i think its interesting when someone claims their video game world has no racism or homophobia or transphobia in this world and women and men are completely equal but at the same time, 

– white men are the only characters seen in positions of power 

– no gay couples or gay people in general are seen anywhere ever with sometimes a single exception, and you’d think that in a world without homophobia, gay people would be more frequent and common 

– characters still make homophobic and transphobic jokes

– characters still say misogynistic jokes

– characters still call women they dont like bitches

– male characters are still mocked for having more “stereotypically gay” mannerisms

– anti-black racism STILL exists in the world but its directed towards orcs or animal people or something instead

– taking real world cultures and misrepresenting them and making caricatures of those cultures and then handing that culture to rat people or something

– using someone else’s fantasy races that were originally conceived as racial caricatures (tolkien, lovecraft)
